Hello and welcome

I also added 3 little blue diamantes to finish.
Layered onto a blue base card, and the hand cut banner is layered on top. I used the pastel yellow to edge the banner

Unstamped!

Hello, and thanks for visiting today

This card is for my DIL's birthday, which is tomorrow. I have used some pretty designer paper (sorry, I do not know the maker) choosing the bird box image for the front of the card.
I chose some of the text page for the centre 2 sections and the outer two are plain, but I have attached flowers and a butterfly. I used a die for the Happy Birthday, and also attached another butterfly on the front.
As I can enter the Unstampabelles challenge, I will answer the question - who am I - and say that I am a cardmaker who loves to try different styles
Other challenges

Bye for now

Mica

Hello and thanks for visiting
Today's card was cased from one I saw recently, so this is my version.
I used a piece of heavy watercolour card and painted my 3 strips of colour in an ombre style.
I stamped and clear embossed my flower image, and stamped the sentiment too.
I diluted some Lumiere Metallic Gold (I had forgotten I had these) and did some flicking with an old paint brush. The blob of gold that was left over was diluted with mica powder mixed with water, and lightly brushed over the flowers. Then attached to a black card base.
Challenges
Uniko - birthday
Mod Squad - use mica powders

Happy crafting - I will be back soon!

Luggage tag

Hello and welcome to my blog.

I bought this set of stamps from someone in a FB group for selling used craft items.
It is Stampers Anonymous 'Time Traveler', and I also bought the Dylusions 'Puddy Cat' set. (See my previous post)
The seller included some DOX backgrounds in the package, so I have trimmed one of them to make the base of my tag. I stamped the luggage with GinaK amalgam ink and clear embossed it. I used the Frayed Burlap DOX to paint with and coloured the handles with a metallic gold Sharpie.
I stamped the word onto a scrap, distressed it with some 'mop-up' ink and cut it into a banner shape. Finished off by punching a hole and tying some string through

happy balloons

Hello again
Time is running out on a few challenges, so I made this one this morning using a new to me stamp from DR's Puddy Cat set,
I stamped onto a scrap of paper and clear embossed, then coloured with a mix of copics and promarkers.
The balloons were punched out of scraps, using an old punch that I have had for many years, and I added letter stickers to spell 'happy'
Stamped and embossed the birthday word and attached with mounting tape. I drew the strings with a black pen to look as though they were tied to the cat's tail. I also added a pale watercolour to the white background.

Challenges
Double Dee - balloons
Creative Inspiration - something new or old (my old punch)

Let your dreams take flight

Hello and welcome

Today's card features the beautiful swallowtail butterfly from Satmpin Up. I have used a lovely sparkly EP from Emerald Creek, but it doesn't scan well. I added some colour with Inktense pencils, added a watercolour wash in the background, and then stamped some portions of stamps by Paper Artsy and Indigo Blu.
The sentiment is from Close to My Heart.
I edged with a black marker, then layered onto matching coloured card, then onto a black card base

Challenges

Be Merry

Hi everyone and welcome

Today's card features the cutest little robin from a set called 'Rockin Robin' from Clearly Besotted that I won recently. I also won the matching die set
I used a piece of DP for the lower piece of the background and used a stitched edge die for the upper half
I stamped the branch, holly, and words directly onto this and stamped the robin on a separate snippet and used mounting tape to raise him up a little
I have coloured with Promarkers, but forgot to take note of the colours, I think the red is R766 Molten Red, and the brown O837 Praline.

happy everything

 Hi everyone
I am back today with a card that loosely follows the instructions by Tracy Evans in the magazine Australian Simply Cards issue 117
For my stencil sponging, I used cracked pistachio, spun sugar, and abandoned coral, distress inks. The random stamping was also with the coral, and I used a very old Paper Artsy stamp from a set
The cat is from Inkadinkadoo 'Catitude', stamped onto a snippet, heat embossed and cut out with my Scan n Cut, happy is a die cut and 'everything' was computer generated.
I am very pleased with the end result.

Textured Poppies

Welcome
Today's card was made with my poppy die using a technique I saw recently, where a tissue was folded, layered onto a card and then cut. The texture was formed by applying paint lightly so
that the top layer wrinkled. I also added some gold paint to highlight.
The background I found in my 'spares' box, and I never made a note of how I did it, but it looks as though I have swiped ink pads lightly over a textured card. I added a ribbon to finish.

Welcome back and also welcome to my new follower Karen

Today's card follows the theme for Unstampables - Paradise Pretties with a twist of into the wild, which I did not do
The background paper certainly reminds me of paradise with flamingos and palm trees. Wish I was there, as today we are experiencing thunder and heavy rain!
I cut out my fringed flamingo with my Cameo Silhouette cutting machine then layered it onto a sponged shape. I also added the word 'Aloha"

Happy Couple

Hi everyone and welcome to my blog

Today's card features one of the very first stamps that I bought, and sad to say it has been reclining in a box for a number of years. However I thought it would be perfect for the challenge at Art Impressions where they are asking for 'Couple' cards
I stamped onto a 'messy play' background, and again onto a separate scrap  so that I could colour them, and glue to the card.
A little yellow to ground them and a peeloff added.
All layered onto a black base card
The boy cat is a deeper blue IRL

Flowers of Nature

Welcome

Today's card is so pretty IRL I love the soft greens on my panel, the result of a play with Brushos. I ran a black marker around the edge to make it stand out. The flower is the result of my first play with foamarin, I added some tinting, some stamens, and some little blue glass beads. The leaves are die cuts (unknown) and the verse is from a Darkroom door set I have also added some sequins. I followed the sketch from Tuesday morning sketches, but reversed the position of the flower and the message

Sailing

Welcome

I saw this idea in one of the card magazines that I read, and loved the look, so I decided to replicate it.
I selected some spotty DP for my background, and then blue check to represent the sea, attached to a rectangle of white card which has been die cut. I cut a circle for the body of the boat and then cut it in half. The sail is drawn freehand, as are the flags. The mast is a toothpick and the 3 portholes are 'Candi" which I added dots and stripes to. I finished off with a birthday peel off

The top panel has a splatter stamp from Paper Artsy (with extra dots with a copic), the middle one is from Simon Says Stamp, (flowers coloured with a black copic), the bottom one is unknown, and the bigger butterfly is from  Cornish Heritage Farms set called All Things Considered., which I embossed and then also coloured with a black copic
They are all stamped with Gina K amalgam.
The ribbon trim is actually black card, and the 2 small butterflies are punched. I also used some spotty washi tape

Favourite!

Hello and welcome back
Today's card was an experiment using paint and a brayer for the background. I made four while I had the equipment out, so you will see some more cards coming soon! I added some drops of water and some pearl embossing powder. This was a technique that I watched by Sara Naumann on her YouTube channel, but of course mine turned out a little differently. I stamped my flower with Brilliance 'pearlescent sky blue' and cut it out with my Scan and Cut. I added some diecut leaves and also some micro beads in the centre of the flower. This stamp is an old favourite that I have had a number of years

Love

Welcome

I have made today's card for the challenge at UnstampaBelles where the option is stencils and spray. I created the background using Dylusions Shimmer sprays in 'Postbox red' and 'Pure Sunshine', and then oversprayed with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist 'Iridescent gold'. I the used 'worn lipstick' DI and my new makeup brush(life changing for me) to colour the background as the white was too stark  I took an extra photo to try and show the gorgeous colours and shine.
I punched out a dragonfly twice, painted it gold and also painted the chipboard word as well. All layered onto a black card base

Spurs!

Hi everyone

Today's card is a fun one that I have made for the challenge at Emerald Creek Dares, where the subject is Rhinestone Cowboys.
The mood board had boots, so I went with that. This is a digi from Clarity stamps that I printed onto some DP, and coloured with copics. Ialso printed the quote that I found online.
I then sponged with Versamark and used Seth Apter Baked Velvet - Sedona which I won from Emerald creek a while ago. It gives a great effect over anything.
