Is this your cat?

Hi all

This cat looks just like one that used to own us years ago, his name was Tiger!

I sized the image a little smaller and printed on a scrap of white card. After the edges were torn and distressed, I used DI 'rusty hinge' to sponge the edges. His chain necklace was highlighted with gold paint, dimensional magic on the goggles, a small key, a piece of an old clock, and a word added.

Rudolph Days

Hi, I am back again with a very simple Christmas card

I attached a piece of Bo Bunny DP to the top section of the card and then overlaid with a die cut piece from a scrap of white. The die is from Stamplorations called stitched winter landscape. I trimmed off the house and one set of trees and moved the set of 3 trees to the right. I added a silver peeloff to finish

another butterfly

Today's card features a beautiful diecut butterfly which I painted with Lumiere 'halo violet gold'
It has a lovely shimmer IRL
I layered onto a wee doily which I had sponged the edges with DI 'dusky concord'
I then added the stamped sentiment which is a really nice one to go with butterflies
I would like to enter this card in the following:-

Speciman

A second post from me today with this card for a challenge that is new to me

The image was given to use and after I printed it I tore the edges and sponged with DI walnut stain.

I coloured some paper lace with a red Promarker and glued it to the left edge. I found some appropriate words, a cog and some red flowers and attached to finish.

Merry and Bright

Welcome to my new follower Kristie Goulet, thank you for joining me

My card today follows the Sketch Saturday #678

I decided to make another card for my Christmas box, as it needs a few more still!
I used 2 dp's from a Rosie's Christmas 6x6 pad
The owl stamp is by Inkadinkadoo and the snowflake is by Basic Grey.
I coloured with copics and promarkers and added a tiny pompom to his hat

a little birdie told me

Hello and welcome to my blog today

I haven't used this set by Dina Wakley for some time, so thought I would give it an outing

I used shaded lilac DI for my stenciled background and then added french script in a couple of places using a very pale grey ink. The bird id stamped with Memento tuxedo black and restamped onto a scrap, which I coloured with promarkers, fussy cut and glued over the image on the card. I also diect a branch for her to stand on and stamped the message from the same set

Sea green and pearls

Good afternoon all
It is a beautiful sunny spring day today - lots of people on the beach!
Today's card uses an embossing folder that I have had a really long time.
I used it with a piece of co-ordinations card that has a different coloured core. After sanding, I adhered to my white card base and then attached a toning bow and added pearls to the centre of the flowers

Blue Hydrangeas

Hi everyone

Today's card features a stamp by Rubber Stampede, which I have had for such a long time.

I stamped with my Misti using Memento tuxedo black and coloured with the following markers

Leaves - copics olive and Reno Art lettuce

flowers - Promarkers, arctic blue, pastel blue, cadet blue, and orchid

I stamped the flower head again and raised it with some foam tape

After trimming I layered onto a green stripey dp and added some matching blue ricrac trim

Stitched frame

Hi

I was browsing through my old craft magazines, and this design caught my eye

I cut the rectangle window and then pricked the holes for the stitching. I used a sparkly gold thread.

I then added acetate at the back and attached my 3d flower.

On the inside to cover the stitching I used a cream card and cut a slightly smaller window so that it resembles a frame to the window

Welcome

Today's card did not turn out as I expected! I was using an idea from one of Natasha's you tubes, but somehow I went off tangent.

I cut the leaves 3 times on my Cameo and tried to colour them with DI in green shades and yellow. I was not happy with the result so added some colour with copics. I added some little touches of gold paint, then layered them and glued to my card. I also added a torn strip of leafy DP to the side.

The stamp is my new Woodware one that my son sent over from Australia for me. It is embossed in gold EP

Friends

I am back again with my second post for today

I used some more of the pretty coloured card for my background, and it is the last sheet that I have!

The three panels are from an unknown DP and I have rounded the corners too

A strip of lovely lace is glued across and my sentiment (again with rounded corners) is layered on top. This is another rub on - so many more to use!!

Oranges and Lemons!

Hi and welcome back

A bright and cheerful card today with my very old Hero Arts stamp. I only coloured 2 of the flowers with copics and fussy cut them. Copics used were E21, Y06, Y38, E49, and Creative graphic marker 35 lemon yellow.

I trimmed the leaves from a much larger die and tinted them slightly. The white card was diecut and layered onto my base. The message is a rub-on, from another box of stash that has been neglected. I have found that you need to heat them a little if they are not transferring well

Best Wishes butterfly

Welcome to this dull and rainy day. It has been a good day to do some sorting out of boxes and catching up on challenges
For this card I have followed the Sketch Saturday #676 although I have centred the circles a little more

My background patterned paper is from my mountain of unnamed papers and the stamp is also unnamed, but it may have been free from a magazine
I coloured with Promarkers, ocean teal, pastel green and pastel yellow for the body.
The sequins are actually the same teal colour as the plain circle, but my scanner shows them as black

Vintage

Hi all

Today's card features a gorgeous vintage car stamp (unknown)

I stamped it onto a wonky stitched oblong and made my background with a woodgrain embossing folder, which I swiped with a brown ink to show up the grain a little better. The piece of orange ribbon was a gift with a stamp I ordered from Australia and it gives a lift to the colours. The base card is brown too, and I see I have managed to cut the bottom off in the scan. I am still getting used to my new printer!!

Turquoise birthday

Day 7 of lockdown and at least another 7 to go!

I have been trying to make one card per day and this is yesterdays, but had to wait for some sunshine this morning to get a photo. I was trying to show the WOS sparkle on the butterfly and the fine glitter showing through on the background, but it did not happen. I wish I knew the secret of capturing sparkle!

The background was a piece of watercolour card that already had a glimmery wash on it. I added turquoise Brusho and spritzed with water. After it was dry I added in some random circles with a blue Promarker, then diecut out the part circle. Birthday was stamped with Brilliance Graphite Black and I die cut the 'happy' twice from some leftover scraps The butterfly was recycled from another project, and I added WOS to the wings

Happiness always

Welcome back

We are in the middle of a level 4 lockdown again so I am enjoying the time making cards

For this one, I have used a simple fun fold from Natasha Foote Here is the link to her instructions on her You Tube channel

I used some dp from a 6x6 pad "Out of Print' by Basic Grey. I have had this pad a number of years, and don't think it is available now. I cut it to the same size as my card front, trimmed off  a quarter and attached it to the inside right, and the rest is attached to the left

I diecut the shape,  edged it in orange, stamped the sentiment using my misti, and attached it to the folded back piece. The flower leaf and button were added for further interest

Merry Christmas

I am back for a second post today

I have followed the sketch from BYSHC to make my mini slimline card.

I have used DP from a 6x6 pad by MME and printed a digi that I had in my files. Sorry I do not know who the designer is. It is cut with a stitched circle die, and I also made a tag for the sentiment, which is a peeloff coloured red

with love

Welcome, and sorry I have not been posting for a wee while!

Today's card uses a beautiful pre-printed ephemera from Stamplorations that I won recently.
I have tried to match the pinks but my scanner has changed the colours a little, I can assure it looks a closer match IRL!
I used this weeks sketch from Sketch Saturday as my starting point
The pink background is embossed
A scrap of bazzil card for the offset
A scrap of white card for the diagonal stripe
3 pink sequins
a tiny butterfly bead
white faux stitching using my Sharpie paint pen
