Pretty Butterflies

Hi everyone
The challenge this week for Sketch Saturday is to use one of the sketches from  2016
I have chosen #394 for my card. I have used this gorgeous digi that I won from Stamplorations, and re-sized it to fit on an angle on my white card. I have coloured with copics to match my base card. I added a strip of black that I punched with a Fiskars border punch and the stamp is from a set by Clearly Besotted stamps

I would like to enter the following challenges

All in Blue

I am back with a second post for today

I have used the sketch from Sketch Saturday for this card.
The background is stamped with 'french script' and I have used my Lavinia stamp on the central oval, embossed with silver. I have added a blue flower with a diamante centre and a silver ribbon bow

Challenges

Bird in a cage

Hi everyone, and welcome to my blog today

I have managed to find some time this morning to make a couple of cards, and this is the first one.
I used shaded lilac, broken china, wilted violet, and mermaid lagoon distress inks to make my background. I pressed the colours onto a stamping block, then spritzed with water, and layered the colours onto my art paper, drying in between. I also added a splat stamp and postmark stamp, both by Paper Artsy.
I cut out the bird in the cage on my Silhouette Cameo, and added a little colour to the edges.
The sentiment is clear embossed, and the the piece was attached to a matching card base.

Hello all

Another slimline card from me today
I cut a white mat smaller than my base card and diecut 3 circles into it, and glued to the base.
I stamped and coloured 2 pineapples, fussy cut them and attached with mounting tape.
The centre flower uses 3 die-cuts from my scrap box and the black stamens is a punch
I wrote the message by hand in a matching calligraphy pen

I would like to enter the following challenges

Lavinia World #33 - a/g

Bold and Bright

Welcome crafty friends
Today's card follows the sketch at Sketch Saturday, a fun way of using scraps.
I cut 3 colours at 1.5 cm and random lengths, which I cut on angles.
I glued them to my white piece in no particular order. I layered my white circle, stamped with a lovely yacht (unknown) onto a red stitched circle. The yacht was coloured with Promarkers, molten red and cloud blue, then the whole piece glued to a dark blue card base

'Latte'

Welcome to my blog today and welcome to my new follower Sally Bownes

I have made this card for my son's birthday, which is later this month, but have to post it overseas, so good to get it done early

I used a coffee ring stencil with walnut stain DI directly onto my kraft card base
The coffee pot is a Stamplorations sticker which I applied to a scrap of kraft card, and the sentiment I found on my pc, but have no idea where I got it from. I coloured the latte word with a black gelly roll glaze pen, which gives a lovely shine

'Girl Power'

Hi and welcome to today's blog post.

I have switched back to the legacy version as I cannot seem to get rid of the extra redirect step on the new version. I hope they can fix this ASAP

Today's card is from a set by 'Acid Drops & Whatnots' who I believe have now closed. Such a shame, as I loved their designs.
I stamped with black GinaK ink and clear embossed, both the image and the message
I have coloured with the following Promarkers
C446 Marine
G956 Ocean Teal
Y247 Summer Sun

The panel was then layered onto a matching coloured base

Challenges

Friends are Flowers

Hello to my crafty friends and new followers, Crystal O Minkler and Cindy Holmes

Today's card uses a piece from my experiments box, distress inks on watercolour paper, for the background.
I stamped the Crafty Individual's CI-385 with Emerald Lagoon DI and embossed with Dyeboss EP
I stamped the sentiment (an old one from Printworks) in the same colour and cut it up so that I could attach to the side without covering the flowers.
I added a little  of the same colour to the dragonfly and also some sparkle with a Sakura Gellyroll pen
Layered onto a pretty turquoise base card

So Cute!

Hello

Today's card is a commission for a family with a new baby. The mother has had Chihuahuas for some time and they were previously her 'babies', so the card had to include them all
I found some suitable images and assembled in a pram cut from some spotty blue paper from my scrap box, and also found some spotty buttons in my stash for the wheels.
Apparently they loved it

Tropical Flamingo

Hello everyone

Today's card was made entirely from bits and pieces from my scrap box, apart from the base card, which has a slight fleck in it.
I cut out the flamingo and tropical leaves using my Cameo Silhouette, and added some shading to some of the pieces. I also added a matching green border
The yellow flowers were diecut from a small piece that had been dry embossed. The flower centres were also diecut from some black scraps. I raised three of the flowers with mounting tape

Butterflies again!

Hi everyone
I have been missing in action for a few days as we have been having internet problems.
We now have a new router supplied by our ISP and that has speeded things up considerably.
But!  this morning my PC would not connect at all although all the wireless devices did. I spent over 2 hours trying to find a solution and then discovered that I could connect with IE but not Chrome, so I uninstalled it and re-installed, and now it is all good. I don't know why these things mysteriously happen!!
So - to my card
Time is running out for the unstampabelles challenge, so I have made this one.
I used a dark navy card base, and attached a piece of DP (unknown brand)
I diecut my butterfly twice and glued together with Art Glitter glue
The message is from Craftwork Cards which I have had a long time, and I also added 3 blue sequins
Challenges
Unstampabelles #100 - wind and/or wings
Pixies Crafty Workshop - using snippets (butterfly)

Another Butterfly

Hello

Todays card uses a butterfly which I cut with my Cameo. The top layer is black card stock, and the bottom layer is a scrap of sparkly card that I had been experimenting with.
The layered oblong was also cut on my Cameo, the files were for one sheet wonders using 12 x 12 papers, so I have cut the whole page of different shapes. You will see more of these on the future!
I added some stamping using Shades Dye Ink in Vanilla cream which toned in nicely.
The stamps were  Rubber Dance 'round in circles' and the sentiment is by Lawn Fawn

Challenges

Birthday Butterflies

Hi and welcome to my lovely visitors.
I have taken a break from spring cleaning to spend some time in my craft room, as there are a few challenges I wished to enter.
I searched through my box of backgrounds, and chose this one, I wish I could remember how I made it!!
As it has a touch of gold I decided to emboss my image from Crafty Individuals in a bright gold ep
I stamped the butterflies again on a scrap and coloured them with Promarkers, then raised them with mounting tape. The sentiment is from Stampin Up, but I covered the word gorgeous and just used the Happy Birthday part.
The piece was outlined with the same blue promarker, and then attached to my card base

Thinking Of You

Welcome back

Today,s card is for a friend who's husband now has terminal cancer.
Because we are in lockdown, we cannot visit, so I decided to make a card for them

I cut the feather outlines in a gold card on my silhouette and backed with some dp (unknown brand that I have had about 4 years) I rounded the corners of the blue layer and stamped in white detail EP, a flourish from a Stampers Anonymous set (mini ornates) that I bought in New York a number of years ago and have never used! I added a gold peeloff (also very old) remember when these were so popular! I don't think I will ever use mine up!
Layered onto a white linen look deckle edged base card, and the feathers are raised with mounting tape

My image is a digi from 'Girl about town' set, and it is very appropriate, as she loves clothes shopping.
I have coloured with the following Promarkers
cardinal red,  dusky rose,  cadet blue,  pastel beige,  cinnamon,  saddle brown,   caramel,  praline,
buttercup,  and pastel green
I added 2 rows of lace, which I deepened the colour with the dusky rose to match the girl;s blouse, and then finished with a co-ordinating flower

Steampunk!

Hi Everyone.
I hope you are all being very crafty, my country is in total lock-down, so I am having fun in my craft room to pass the time.

For this card, I stamped a piece of cream paper with some clocks and cogs to make my background. It looked too bright so I layered a piece of velum paper over it to soften.
I cut the penny-farthing on my cameo silhouette, and glued to the velum. I also added a small brad in each corner, and some peel offs that look like hinges. Then attached to my dark maroon base card.
