Purple

Good morning all, I hope you are enjoying your day.

We will shortly be going to do our weekly grocery shop, so just time to do this post beforehand

This design is similar to one I saw recently

I stamped my flower (Paperbabe) onto a scrap with Shades Dye ink in purple majesty, coloured with  Promarker orchid and Copic Sketch amethyst, and the centre with Wink of Stella gold. After trimming down I edged both layers with gold pen and marked out a square onto the first layer. I also outlined with gold the message piece and used a peeloff for the message. I have hundreds of these to use so you will be seeing a lot of them!!

Blue Lily

Good afternoon all

I found some time today to have a play with some of the goodies I received from Mrs A for winning one of her competitions recently

I wet  lines through one of the pretty papers, so that I could pull off a strip to layer across my card.

I have coloured the flower with the Spectrum-Noir  'Starry Sky' Sparkle pen and dragged out the colour with water. I then used the Nuvo glitter Marker 'Imperial Blue" to highlight the edges.

The green leaves are painted with  Magic Colour 'grecian olive'

I have added a peel-off which I coloured blue to match

I am quite disappointed with the result of this scan, it looks so much better IRL
I have used the same die again as in my last post, which was a freebie with a magazine, and loosely followed the directions from there .
I used a white card base, a diecut rectangle frame, and a piece of dp for my background. I also added a silver peeloff to finish

With Love

Hello again

To make the background for today's card, I first swiped Broken China and Peeled Paint distress inks onto an acrylic block and spritzed with water. Then pressed onto a piece of watercolour card. When it was dry, I trimmed it and layered it onto black card stock, and then onto my card base.

I used my Misti to stamp the words, and added the diecut flower panel and 3 red heart sequins. Unfortunately they show black in the scan!

With Love

Hi everyone
Seeing that it is Valentine month, I thought I would make this card with a cute pair of cats that I have had for too many years that I care to remember!

I used a heart stencil (unknown) on my background, and then stamped and embossed the 2 cats on a scrap of black card
They were then fussy cut and attached over the hearts, and a little gold paint added to the eyes
Finished off with a couple of peel-offs and then attached to my black base card

Butterfly

Hi everyone, I hope you are all keeping well and safe

Today's card features a Paper Artsy stamp that I have had for a few years. I had to buy it when I saw Leandra demonstrate it when she visited New Zealand
I stamped it twice with my Misti, so that I could fussy cut the butterfly and layer it
After colouring in shades of orange, I layered it with mounting tape and also added gold micro beads to the body. The flowers were lightly coloured too.
I trimmed down to a square and distressed  the edges before  attaching to the base card. A strip of Washi tape finished the bottom nicely matching the gold and orange

A home without a cat!

Welcome back

Today's card features a cat from an Indigo Blu set that I have had for quite some time.

I stamped him on a scrap and coloured with markers - one of my favourite combo's of  Promarkers, pastel yellow, summer sun, and tulip yellow, and copic ciao Y38. I love how I can graduate the colours on this stripey cat!

I layered him onto a diecut stitched circle of white scrap, and then onto my yellow embossed background (Craft Concepts 'sun rays')

The sentiment is from a set by The Ink Road Stamps

Meow

Hi, and welcome back

Today's fun card uses one of the very first dies that I bought, many years ago. I decided it needed an outing once again

The background dp has been embossed in my cuttlebug, and the top corners rounded. The folder does not have a name, but it is by Cuttlebug

The cat and mouse were die cut from scraps, as was the 'grass' piece at the bottom.

I did some faux stitching with my Sharpie white paint pen, and attached all to a black card base

Another Christmas Card

 Hi everyone
Sorry I have been MIA for a while as I have been unable to use my right arm and hand properly after an angiography which left me black and blue from hand to elbow. It is slowly healing but still quite technicolour!

Back to my card, which I had made before this happened.
I followed a design I saw from Liz McGuire at buttonsforbrains as I really liked the layout.
I raided my scrap box to find some suitable papers, used some washi tape, stamped and embossed snowflakes, stamped my snowman on a scrap and cut him out, coloured his scarf and hat with Promarkers  R766 Molten Red and added some sparkly KindyGlitz to his hat.
Thanks Liz for a lovely design

Festive

Hello, and thank you for visiting my blog today

I was inspired to make this card after seeing a post by Kath Stewart, so this is my interpretation, as I do not have the new cat stamps (I wish)
I started by making masks for the moon and snow from some scrap paper. I used 'black soot' and 'fossilized amber' distress inks to make the sky, and spritzed to make the colours run a little. After drying I used a very old Penny Black stamp (2001 - snowflake border) to stamp the snowflakes and embossed with detail white EP
I coloured my crazy bird with the following Promarkers
R766,  V546,  V528,  M419,  Y247
The sentiments are from a Clearly Besotted set called 'Rockin Robin'
I added a little 'hickory smoke' DOX to define the edge of the snow and a ground for the bird.
