Cat Lovers hop day 5

On my way to get ready for bed, and realized I had not posted my final hop card

I stamped my crazy cat (by Tim Holtz) directly onto a piece of DP and coloured him with grey shades of Copics. I added another strip at the bottom and handcut a flag for the sentiment

BYSH Cardmakers day 7

I am back again with my final entry for the BYSHC blog hop
I cut the pieces for the truck on my Cameo and glued them together, except for the first layer, which has mounting tape in between. I had such a frustrating time trying to get my Cameo to cut, and ended up having to put in a new blade, which solved the problem.
I glued a rectangle of DP to my red card base and then attached the truck.
The Merry Christmas is a sticker.
I will send this one to my 2 grandsons in Sydney, I don't think they will be coming for a holiday again this year because of Covid restrictions.
Thank goodness for Skype!

Timeless Beauty

Back for my second post today

This gorgeous image is for this month's challenge at Fripperies and Butterflies, Gecko Gals Steampunk Challenge
After printing, I chose a dark green base card as it tones so well with the beautiful mask
I adhered a piece of old lace down the side and coloured it with gold paint, and also adding some paint to the top right for interest The clock embellishment also matches the one on the mask

BYSH Cardmakers Day5

My second post for today.
I am still making Christmas cards for the BYSHC blog hop, so that is filling my box nicely.
It is such a great incentive!
Today's card was made with a background of distress inks applied direct to the textured card with a wet wipe. My snowman is a precut one and I coloured the patterned piece from the back so it would show better. I then added a couple of peeloffs from the 'mountain'

Challenges
Jingle Bells - I hope snowmen are creatures!

Winter Illusion

Hello and welcome to a windy Friday. It is a good day to be inside playing in the craft room
After seeing Dawn's card using winter illusion EP, it reminded me that I had some as well. It has such a pretty effect in the light. With this photo I tried to capture both the pink and the turquoise
I first embossed my black card using a Craft Concept EF and then applied Versamark to the flat area. Added the EP and heat set. The sentiment is cut from white card using my Cameo Silhouette.
I diecut the rectangle and adhered to a white card base

Hedgehog Joy

Hello and Welcome

Today's card features a very old Penny Black stamp called Hedgehog Joy, I am not sure if it is still available
I have coloured with my copics and punched out a number of leaves from a multi-coloured DP, which I then adhered over the flowers
The background was an experiment in using up the ink inside gel pens which would no longer write, and then some dried marigold DI sponged over in places. I was quite pleased how this turned out.
I used letter peeloffs to make the word 'happy' because this is what the hedgie feels playing in the autumn leaves!

Is this your cat?

Hi all

This cat looks just like one that used to own us years ago, his name was Tiger!

I sized the image a little smaller and printed on a scrap of white card. After the edges were torn and distressed, I used DI 'rusty hinge' to sponge the edges. His chain necklace was highlighted with gold paint, dimensional magic on the goggles, a small key, a piece of an old clock, and a word added.

Stitched frame

Hi

I was browsing through my old craft magazines, and this design caught my eye

I cut the rectangle window and then pricked the holes for the stitching. I used a sparkly gold thread.

I then added acetate at the back and attached my 3d flower.

On the inside to cover the stitching I used a cream card and cut a slightly smaller window so that it resembles a frame to the window
