Happy Birthday

This card (CASed from Beccy, Scrappin and Stampin in GJ)  has been stamped with bundled sage DI and a stamp from my JoFy set. I overlapped and bent them a bit. Next I stamped the sentiment on a snippet of green card, and cut a snippet from a piece that had been sprayed with Dylusions to match the red flowers. Added some liquid pearls in the centres.
Challenges -
Stamp and Create - birthdays
Pixie's Playground - snippets (3rd entry this fortnight)

Buttons!

I have been following the posts at PaperArtsy and have been inspired by Liz Borer and her amazing projects. I have followed her suggestions and made some shrink plastic buttons. The first 2 sets are made with JoFy stamps, and the third one is actually a button stamp. I have coloured them with pencils, Promarkers, and Copics. I found a button card on pinterest, printed it 3 times, coloured with chalks, and edged with a gold Fiskars pen.

Today's card features a lovely stamp from TH, stamped with walnut stain DI onto a piece of kraft card. I have layered it with a deeper brown, and also the 2 embossed oblongs in the corners. The other 2 pieces were some snippets left over from another project. Finished off with some black 'gems'

Thinking of You

The current challenge at CuttlebugMania is for nature.
I have embossed the green background in my 'bug, and also diecut 2 spellbinders butterflies, from a snippet of off white card, which I then sprayed with Glimmermist and attached with the second layer raised.  It has a lovely sheen. I trimmed a snippet of black for the sentiment

Inspired by....

.......Alison Bomber at
Paper Artsy!
I have tried to follow the style and colours of some of the examples.
The background was sprayed with Dylusions and the gaps sponged with antique linen DI. I then stamped with my Jofy stamps and went over them randomly with a fine black sharpie. I also sponged on some gold paint through a stencil.

A Winner....

.....and I was too. I recently won two sets of Marianne Collectables from The Southern Girls Challenge.
I made this card using the cup die and the ball die and also the sentiment.
The cup is actually gold card, but it does not scan well. I cut them from bits from the snippet box and so too is the piece the cup is layered on. I will slip this into Pixie's Challenge - a soccer ball may come in handy!

I have embossed the background orange piece through my cuttlebug, and lightly touched the edges with a black ink pad. The image is stamped with Brilliance Graphite black end embossed with black detail EP. I have coloured her in using a mixture of copics and promarkers. Imagine!

Here is my attempt this week adapting the instructions from the Paper Artsy blog.
I made a rough background using texture paste, and sprinkled a little red EP in places and melted it.
I cut the heart from red card and stamped some circles on it from my JOFY set. I then melted some beeswax onto it - what fun - I have never done this before!! I stamped the word (from one of TH stamp sets) onto Crunchy Waxed Kraft paper, and embossed with white detail EP. I added the wee bird just for fun, and the piece of black chain, and attached it to black card. I am entering this at Paper Artsy

Scrap card

I was so pleased with the effect of this design on a previous card, that I decided to make it again using pieces from my scrap box. I could probably make a hundred of these and still have a box full of snippets!!

Christmas again

I should have scanned this card against something dark so that you can see it is a square card.
I was inspired by the challenge at Craftyhazelnuts Xmas, and chose to use red, white green, reindeer, and holly.
The reindeer is embossed with white detail EP, and I am please with how it turned out.
Thanks for looking

Christmas card - that is!
I have used 2 images from my Tim Holtz set, stamped in Adirondack Expresso. It goes well with the pale cream card. I distressed the edges a little.
I have used a piece of very old lace, and threaded it with some recycled gold ribbon. The holly is a punch and I added 3 red beads to finish.

Here is another lovely image from Crafty Individuals, which I have stamped with Shades ink pad from Sweet Stamps - purple majesty. I think she is probably from the 1920's or 1930's.
I decided not to colour in the image, as I rather liked it as it is.I have layered it onto a torn piece of  japanese paper, and then a piece of lace, a piece of a doiley, a diecut corner piece, and a little fabric flower.

Tag #2

My lovely new JOFY stamps arrived yesterday (thanks so much PaperArtsy for picking me as a prizewinner) and I couldn't wait to try them out. I have made another tag loosely following Darcy's one, but some of the products I don't have, so it is all about compromise. The centres of the flowers are actually coloured with blue pearl (Promarker) but the scan has not picked that up too well.
I will slip this one into the challenge at

Tag!

I had some spare time this afternoon so decided to have a practice at making this tag.

I will add it to the challenge  at

pretty pendant

Thanks to following the Paper Artsy blog, I got out my shrink plastic and had a little play, to make this pendant.
I first painted with some Folk Art paint and next day stamped with my CI 320 stamp with Brilliance graphite black. I added a little colour to the flowers, leaves, and the bird with copics, and, after shrinking, then added about 4 coats of Utee, which has made the scan get a reflection in it!

This is way out of my comfort zone, but I had such fun playing with various distress inks, bubble wrap, stencils, smooch, and my new Tim Holtz stamp set - Curious Possibility.- the base is kraft card. It started off to be a tag, but then I turned it into a card instead. I have also shown the inside and the back as well
