Playing with paper

I cased this card from one I saw somewhere on the internet, but did not take note of the designer, sorry
For the background, I used a piece of old sheet music and sponged with DI and layered onto my black card base
Using a torn scrap of cream card, I diecut the design and also coloured with DI
I arranged the fabric leaves and flower onto a wreath and attached with glue dots

I have double layered it with a matching teal mat and layered onto a white card base.

Vintage Beauty

Welcome friends
Today's card features a lovely stamp that a friend lent me, I believe it is by Kaisercraft.
I made the background using shiny card, Brusho's and cling wrap. I love the results you can get with this technique. I have roughened the edge and run a purple ink pad around, then layered onto a green card base.
The sentiment is raised with mounting tape.

Steampunk

Welcome everyone

Today I have 2 ATC's to share with you, something I have not made for such a long time, and I had forgotten how much fun they are
The theme is steampunk and I have printed my background images and added embellishments. The bicycle one is printed over the background, and touched up with a black gellyroll pen.
The cogs are stamped with Hickory Smoke DOX.
I added some  distressed silver peeloffs to both, and the first one has an old watch face attached.
The edges are sponged with Black Soot DI
I would like to enter into the new  Steampunk Challenge #1

I then decided to make these into cards

I dry embossed 2 pieces of mirror card and swiped over the raised surface with Brilliance graphite black, then heat embossed with a black EP
Layered with black and then onto a black card base

Purple!

Welcome
This is my first post using the new blogger, so hope it goes OK
I would love to get rid of the extra step of redirect when reading blogs, it is so unnecessary. If anyone can help, I would be very grateful

I have followed this sketch from Sketch Saturday
the sentiment is from Lawn Fawn, and I am not sure about the butterfly
I used snippets of black and white for the diecuts

Vintage!

Hello crafters

Today's card uses a sketch from Poetic Artistry
I used 3 designer papers from my 6x6 Authentique pad, which I have had for some time. I layered onto some black paper to make the design stand out. I diecut the 2 circles and stamped my vintage car (unknown brand) onto a scrap from my snippets box, and coloured with copics. I also used  Dimensional Magic on the windscreen to look like glass

Pretty Butterflies

Hi everyone
The challenge this week for Sketch Saturday is to use one of the sketches from  2016
I have chosen #394 for my card. I have used this gorgeous digi that I won from Stamplorations, and re-sized it to fit on an angle on my white card. I have coloured with copics to match my base card. I added a strip of black that I punched with a Fiskars border punch and the stamp is from a set by Clearly Besotted stamps

All in Blue

I am back with a second post for today

I have used the sketch from Sketch Saturday for this card.
The background is stamped with 'french script' and I have used my Lavinia stamp on the central oval, embossed with silver. I have added a blue flower with a diamante centre and a silver ribbon bow

Bird in a cage

Hi everyone, and welcome to my blog today

I have managed to find some time this morning to make a couple of cards, and this is the first one.
I used shaded lilac, broken china, wilted violet, and mermaid lagoon distress inks to make my background. I pressed the colours onto a stamping block, then spritzed with water, and layered the colours onto my art paper, drying in between. I also added a splat stamp and postmark stamp, both by Paper Artsy.
I cut out the bird in the cage on my Silhouette Cameo, and added a little colour to the edges.
The sentiment is clear embossed, and the the piece was attached to a matching card base.

Tropical

Hello all

Another slimline card from me today
I cut a white mat smaller than my base card and diecut 3 circles into it, and glued to the base.
I stamped and coloured 2 pineapples, fussy cut them and attached with mounting tape.
The centre flower uses 3 die-cuts from my scrap box and the black stamens is a punch
I wrote the message by hand in a matching calligraphy pen

Lavinia World #33 - a/g
The Cats Pajamas #374 - slimline

Bold and Bright

Welcome crafty friends
Today's card follows the sketch at Sketch Saturday, a fun way of using scraps.
I cut 3 colours at 1.5 cm and random lengths, which I cut on angles.
I glued them to my white piece in no particular order. I layered my white circle, stamped with a lovely yacht (unknown) onto a red stitched circle. The yacht was coloured with Promarkers, molten red and cloud blue, then the whole piece glued to a dark blue card base

Sketch Saturday

Hi everyone

We are back in lockdown level 3 so I have had some time to make this card.
I have used the sketch at a 'new to me' challenge blog called Sketch Saturday, to make this card. The sunflower is a very old Hero Arts stamp, coloured with the following Promarkers
Y247 summer sum
Y337 tulip yellow
Y417 buttercup
O949 pastel yellow
O345 saddle brown
O727 caramel

I used some snippets of DP for the background and stamped the message with GinaK amalgam

'Latte'

Welcome to my blog today and welcome to my new follower Sally Bownes

I have made this card for my son's birthday, which is later this month, but have to post it overseas, so good to get it done early

I used a coffee ring stencil with walnut stain DI directly onto my kraft card base
The coffee pot is a Stamplorations sticker which I applied to a scrap of kraft card, and the sentiment I found on my pc, but have no idea where I got it from. I coloured the latte word with a black gelly roll glaze pen, which gives a lovely shine
