Sparkle and shine

Hello and Welcome.

Todays card is for the challenge at Southern Girls for Sparkle, shimmer and shine. I have tried to capture the sparkle with my photos but it is not easy. The unicorn's horn has a coating of gold sparkles, the flowers are a very shiny fabric, and I have added diamantes to the eyelashes. I hope you like my fun unicorn, and thanks for visiting

Dream

Hello and welcome to my blog
Today's card uses the 3 colours as requested for the Rubberdance facebook challenge - red, turquoise, and yellow ochre.
I have used two of their sets here, 'round in circles' and I am not sure of the name of the words set.The background is a combination of distress inks to try and get a yellow ochre colour, turquoise is a Tsukineko dauber duo, red is Versafine satin red, and the word Dream is coloured with a promarker. I stamped it on a seperate snippet, coloured and then cut it out with my Scan n Cut

Today's card was made very quickly, by die cutting a piece of Dp with a stitched rectangle die. Stamped and embossed with 'Ebony Shimmer' ep, layered onto a toning paper, edges sponged with Wilted Violet DI, and then attached
to a black card base. The ep is quite sparkly IRL, but does not show in the scan

One of a kind!

Welcome to my blog
Today's card features another of  Tim Holtz' crazy dogs. These are such fun stamps to have, and I try and use them whenever I can.
The challenge at Time Out is 'Unique' so I thought this would suit it perfectly.
I have layered 2 different papers from a lovely pad that I won (LOTV On a High Note) and then attached my image that I had coloured with copics. The colllar has some wink of stella added and it is so sparkly IRL! Words are computer generated and I also added a couple of 'Candi' to finish off

Girl Power

Welcome
Today's card is for the challenge at Southern Girls where the subject is 'girl power'
I have chosen to use an image of 'Rosie the Riveter' Here is some info about her

Rosie the Riveter is a cultural icon of World War II, representing the women who worked in factories and shipyards during World War II, many of whom produced munitions and war supplies. These women sometimes took entirely new jobs replacing the male workers who joined the military. Wikipedia
I Have layered the image onto a black stitched circle and adhered to some DP and onto my white base card. I printed the words and cut into a fishtail banner. Finished off with some Nuvo drops in Liquid Mercury to represent rivets.
I hope you like it

Live your Dreams

Welcome
Today's card features the beautiful butterfly from Stampin Up - Swallowtail.
I first stamped it with Brilliance 'pearlescence sky blue' using my Misti and then again with vesamark. I have embossed it with Magical Mysteries 'Mermaid Fin'  which  was in a wonderful assortment of goodies that I recently won from Emerald Creek (Thanks so much) Hopefully you can see the beautiful sheen, as it was very
hard to photograph I have cut it out and adhered it to a piece from a Lawn Fawn pad and added a Hero Arts message embossed in gold. I also went around the edge with a very pale grey tombow marker, as this helps the image to stand out

Happy Birthday cupcake

Welcome to my blog and to my new follower, Joanna

Today's card was made for my dil's birthday earlier this week. I saw the design on pinterest and used my lovely cupcake die that I won recently. I cut each piece from scraps 4 times and glued together. The 'icing' was in a chocolate colour and the 'paper' in cream, which I coloured with copics to make stripes. The candle is a real one, which I sliced off some of the back, so that I could adhere it to the card. The w,s and h are hand drawn

Sailing!

Hello and welcome to my blog

Today's card features a stamp that I won a few years ago, and I am not sure who it is from. I stamped onto my card, and again onto a snippet of coloured paper. After cutting around the circle, I glued it in position on the design. I sponged around the edges and did not add a sentiment, but left it plain, as I was writing a message inside. I made it for a neighbour when he came home from a hip operation

'free yourself'

Hello and welcome to my blog

Today's card uses the colours that are required for the Rubberdance challenge for this month - pink, teal and grey.

My base card is a very pretty pale grey that has a tiny sparkle in it, but this can only be seen in certain lights. I masked off a strip with some post-it notes and sponged with di 'mermaid lagoon'. I then stamped with the same colour using one of the stamps from the Rubberdance 'Round in Circles' set and the words are from the Artist Plate set. The flower is also from Rubberdance but I don't know what it is called.

'gold'

Hello and welcome to my blog.
Today's card features one of my favourite stamps from Paper Artsy. I have stamped it onto a dp using wilted violet distress ink. I stamped the butterfly part again on an extra piece and went over the outlines with my glue pen. I then laid gold leaf over and rubbed it in. After cutting it out I attached it with a glue dot in the centre. The sentiment is from a set by Lawn Fawn embossed in bright gold. The butterfly looks beautiful IRL, but my scan does not show it up well. Edited to add a photo which shows the gold better

cat lovers day 4

My entry for day 4
This was a free image that I had downloaded, it quite tickled my fancy, as it reminded me of a cat we 'inherited' when we bought a house. It stole a whole fish off the bench that I had got out to prepare for our dinner!
I cut out the rectangle with my Stamplorations die and layered onto a green card blank. Then added a little grass with a copic marker
