Surfing Santa

 Welcome

Nothing for a month, then 2 in a row!

I have an excuse though, I have had a couple of hospital stays, but no pacemaker required yet, although could happen in the future

I used a lot of scraps from my scrap folder to cut out this surfing Santa, and will be sending it to my Aussie grandsons who are keen surfers. All cut out on my Sillhouette Cameo

Sympathy

Hello and welcome

Today's card was made using a Stampin Up stamp from the Asian Artistry set.
I have kept it very CAS and coloured the bird to match the base card, which has the front cut on a curve.
It looks like I had better clean my scanner, as those marks are not on the card, so will have to 'Google' what to use for cleaning!

'Good Shot'

Hello and welcome back
One of my grandsons has his 15th birthday next week, so I decided on a basketball theme as this is the sport he plays.
I cut the ball and the person on my Sillhouette, and stamped the sentiment ( from Paperbabe Stamps) in orange to match and then used clear detail EP to give it a lovely sheen

Just For You

Hello and welcome back
Today's card is the result of browsing through a catalogue of Penny Black from 2004. One of the examples was quite appealing so I cased it for this card. I used a stamp on the left side and then adhered four different washi tapes for the vertical stripes. I mounted the two stickeroos onto some toning cream card and adhered to the card base.

Hello fellow crafters
A quick card that I made this morning using a background that I previously made after watching Kate Crane demo for Paper Artsy, using Infusions. Creative Graphic markers - 35 lemon yellow, 6 pale pink, 46 vivid green, 23 orange, and Copic R01 pinkish vanilla
The wording is stickers by Ranger

80th birthday

Hello and welcome

I don't usually make 8x8 cards, but was asked for a big size so that the choir members could sign it. It was for the choir leader who is also fond of reading, so I used both suggestions to make the card. The pile of books is 3d layered so that it stands off the page. 80 was cut with my Cameo Silhouette, and the word was stamped and embossed with bright gold EP

Welcome back, I have not posted anything for over a month as have had family staying since early January

I saw the challenge at Allsorts is for yellow, so decided to case one of the cards that I made a couple of years ago, but this time I used yellow tones of distress inks. The stamp is an unknown one and I added some detail with Smooch ink in a gold colour. The sentiment is from Paperbabe

Three dragonflys

Welcome to today's card

I have followed a design by Monika Weclewska in an older Papercraft Essentials magazine.
I had to compromise and 'use what I have'
The background splotches are from a set by Paperbabe, the dragonflys are unnamed, and I also used a peeloff to finish off. The dragonfly panel was a scrap layered onto the piece cut from the end of the card base

Birthday Butterflies

Hi and welcome, and Happy New Year to all my friends and followers

I have been missing again for a while, but have a few January birthday cards to make, so this is the first
My lovely image is an oldie from Crafty Individuals which I purchased whilst in England for a visit a number of years ago.
I stamped and embossed with bright gold EP and coloured the butterfies with Smooch paint, using the red and the gold, After it was dry I added Stickles for some lovely sparkles, and then another blast from the past - peeloffs!

Merry shaker

.

Welcome crafty friends, I have been missing again for a while but wanted to show this card.

It is quite some time since I have made a shaker, but I saw this design by Christine Werner, and altered it a bit. The green background was made using two different Memento inks to create an ombre look. The Merry was cut with my Cameo Silhouette and I also added a stencilled part of a snowflake in the corner, and the sparkly Christmas word.

Cats and Mouse

 Hi everyone

I wanted to use the sketch from MFT for this cat card, and decided to use the colours from their colour challenge also

I cut strips for the background but the metallic card I used for the teal colour has come out more of a dark green!

I diecut some stitched circles and stamped the cats from a set by Magengo designs. The background is coloured with "Thiscolor" pale pink, and the cats and mouse are coloured with "Promarker" silver lining

Butterfly

Hi everyone. I hope you are all keeping well

I saw a card made with this die some time ago on a CAS facebook group, and when I saw it come up on a local selling site, I just had to have it

I cut it from a piece of patterned card, which I added a bit more colour to with a copic marker. I also ran the top wings through a textured embossing folder, and touched it up here and there with some gold paint. The honeycome die cut is from a Sizzix set by Tim Holtz. To finish off I added a gold peeloff from my vast collection

I'm Back!

After such a long absence, I have managed to make a few cards. We have had a number of health problems recently, particularly with my OH, but he is slowly on the mend now, but still quite weak.

I found this image in my stash, as I was doing some tidying, and decided to make it into a card. I coloured the hedgie and flowers with copics and promarkers and also added some WOS to the flowers so that they are really sparkly, but of course the pic does not show this! I attached to a red card base to tone with the flowers.

New Arrival

A CAS card today to enter into a few challenges.

I have used the sketch from MFT for my design, and found a pretty textured scrap of pink card to use for the background. I trimmed the top with a SU scallop punch, and adhered it on an angle. I stamped the wee bunny and the sentiment on a scrap of white (Inkadoo - baby love)

I then coloured with Promarkers, rose pink for the pink dots and silver lining for the bunny.

Hello everyone.

Today's card uses a stamp from Papermania Square Urban Stamps - Chronology (Looking Glasses) which I stamped with Versamark onyx black, and embossed with clear detail EP. I think the verse is from a Unity Stamps grab bag.

Paris again

Back again today with another Paris themed card
The background DP is stamped down the left side with Stampin Up stamps and Memento 'nautical blue'
I think the Paris stamp is from Hampton Arts, but not positive on that. I dug into my box of brads that haven't been used for so long and found some little bronze coloured ones to use. The snippets of ribbon were cut and attached to the back. The letters in the black squares are shiny silver, and my scanner did not like them at all. It says WISH in case you can't see it.

Romantic Paris

 Welcome

A few free hours today so made this card, roughly following one from "Creating Cards with Stamps' magazine

The DP background had the addition of some splotches of Peeled Paint DI and a touch of metallic rub as well. I edged it with a brown copic.

I stamped the Eiffel Tower (from Stamp It) onto the white scrap that you can see peeking out from under the cream scrap, using Versafine onyx black.the ticket is from a Tom Holtz set, the round date stamp is from PA Hot Picks.

I also used vintage photo to highlight edges and soften the white background of the tower, and added some embellishments to finish off.

I would like to enter the following challenges
