Blue

Hi everyone,
I have been 'missing in action' for a while as we have been away on a trip in our motorhome. I have been catching up on blogs, and saw there was a challenge at Allsorts for the colour blue, or water.
I had recently made this card, cutting it out with my Cameo and colouring the layered flowers with copics, so thought it would be suitable.
I will add a sentiment when I decide who it is for.

Here is a pic of a lovely weeping cherry tree that I took while we were away. You can just see the top of our motorhome behind the fence

Things with wings

Hi everyone.
Todays card features a beautiful butterfly that I stamped onto vellum and embossed with white detail ep. My background was coloured with distress oxides and I used a stamp with water to take off some of the colour. I added a lovely verse and also some pearls for the body.

Challenges

HIMCR #368 - pastels
Sweet Stamping - keep things neutral
Bizzy Becs Store Challenge - a/g
Butterfly Challenge - I have used embossing powder and embellishments

Thanks for your lovely comments and have a great week

Heavy Metal!

Hi everyone.

First of all a very warm welcome to my new followers, MaryH and Susan. I hope you enjoy your visits

Today's card is an experiment to see if I could print a digi stamp over a distressed background, and I was happy to find that it worked quite well. I cut an oblong from a spare piece of card and used it to mask a frame while I coloured the inner oblong with di's. The digi is one that I have had in my files for some time, and I can't recall where I got it from. I have trimmed the bottom with some musical tape and added a key for embellishment

Challenges
Allsorts #482 - music
Southern Girls - use some metal
Creatalicious #146 - a/g
Mod Squad - a/g

I am sailing!

Hi everyone.
I have been doing a major 'sort out' of my crafty 'stuff'!
What a job!!
I found some spare time this morning to make this simple card for the Unstampabelles challenge. The theme is Emboss, and for a male.
I diecut a piece of card from my scrap box, and layered it onto an embossed pale blue paper. The yacht is also diecut 3 times and adhered with mounting tape to raise it up
I am entering the following challenges:-
Paperbabe #80 - a/g
Allsorts - from boys to men
CardzTV #60- a/g
HIMCR #366 - die cuts
Pixies Playground - use snippets

I'm late! I'm late!

Hi everyone, it's good to be back, but time is running out for some challenges!
A very warm welcome to my new followers -

Charlene 'White Deer' Heathwood and Mia

My card today is a simple style for a guy, and I have used a new DarkRoom Door stamp that I bought at a recent Craft Show.
I stamped it twice so that I could raise the lens part, which makes it more realistic. The 'smile' is stamped in silver and I outlined it with a white paint Sharpie

Challenges
Rubberdance - black and white + 1 (my green base card)
CardzTV - a/g

ink transfer

Hi everyone, and welcome to my blog
Today I am sharing a mixed media wall art that I have made from a kit.
The big white butterfly is done with the transfer method of printing on wax paper, then laying the image face down and rubbing, to transfer the ink. I have used various other stamps direct to the gessoed base and added some flowers, stencilling, butterflies, and some turquoise colour randomly

Challenges
Paper Artsy - transfers
Southern Girls - a bit flash
