Hi everyone.
After watching a video from Natasha Foote (a fellow kiwi), I thought I would have a go!
I sponged the edges of the base card with distress ink (dusty concord) before adding my top layer
The stamp is by Woodware

Hello again, second post today
I have used one of my 'experiment' backgrounds, made with Brushos on a heavy watercolour card.
The stamp is 'constellation' by Penny Black, embossed in white detail EP and highlighted with a white Sharpie paint pen.
A gold thread is wound around, sentiment layered on mounting tape, and all adhered to an orange toning card base

Edged with gold and layered onto a piece of embossed DP and then onto a mauve card base.Attached a recycled tag with a gold diamante

After such a long absence, I have managed to make a few cards. We have had a number of health problems recently, particularly with my OH, but he is slowly on the mend now, but still quite weak.
I found this image in my stash, as I was doing some tidying, and decided to make it into a card. I coloured the hedgie and flowers with copics and promarkers and also added some WOS to the flowers so that they are really sparkly, but of course the pic does not show this! I attached to a red card base to tone with the flowers.

A CAS card today to enter into a few challenges.
I have used the sketch from MFT for my design, and found a pretty textured scrap of pink card to use for the background. I trimmed the top with a SU scallop punch, and adhered it on an angle. I stamped the wee bunny and the sentiment on a scrap of white (Inkadoo - baby love)
I then coloured with Promarkers, rose pink for the pink dots and silver lining for the bunny.

Hello everyone.
Today's card uses a stamp from Papermania Square Urban Stamps - Chronology (Looking Glasses) which I stamped with Versamark onyx black, and embossed with clear detail EP. I think the verse is from a Unity Stamps grab bag.
The bottom edge was torn and the rest edged in a black marker.Layered onto a base card which has cogs randomly stamped on it
Challenges:-
Creative Knockouts #486 - Celebrations
Allsorts #713 - for boys or men
A few free hours today so made this card, roughly following one from "Creating Cards with Stamps' magazine
The DP background had the addition of some splotches of Peeled Paint DI and a touch of metallic rub as well. I edged it with a brown copic.
I stamped the Eiffel Tower (from Stamp It) onto the white scrap that you can see peeking out from under the cream scrap, using Versafine onyx black.the ticket is from a Tom Holtz set, the round date stamp is from PA Hot Picks.
I also used vintage photo to highlight edges and soften the white background of the tower, and added some embellishments to finish off.
I would like to enter the following challenges

Snippets Playground 11th Anniversary
We Love Stamping - favourite colours (green and cream, another favourite combo)
Hi everyone
I have been working on a challenge to myself!
Whilst tidying I found 2 pages of Penny Black Stickeroos, so challenged myself to use them all up, and ended up making 13 cards. I tried to use up bits and pieces from my scrap pile and also buttons that I have had a long time. The papers are mostly Studio K

Hi all, it has been a while since my last post, but I have been busy with Christmas items.
I have made these cute penguins for my four youngest grandchildren. I will pop in some chocolate and some Christmas spending money.
The belly band slips off and they open up.
I have used a lot of scraps from my scrap mountain for these, cut on my Cameo and glued together.

My youngest son's birthday was this month, and this is the card I made for him.
The design was from an old magazine called 'Cardmaking with Paper Sculpture' and includes all the Zodiac signs by Greg Sukendro.
I used some yellow scraps to cut out the scorpian, but did not reduce the pile much!

Hello everyone, back again today with a card for some more challenges.
After a long conversation with Canon (printers) I have managed to get my scanning sorted, thank goodness!
The background is some spotty paper which I swiped over with Honey Dew Mist, Glimmer Mist, so it has a very subtle sparkle. I selected butterflies from various stamp sets, stamped onto blue card and embossed with white detail EP. The sentiment is on a piece of torn vellum and I have added a strip of blue card overlaid with sheer ribbon, a lace motif, and a blue button
Challenges:-
Art Impressions - buttons and bows

Hi there, sorry I have been missing in action.
I recently purchased a new PC which runs win 11, and it has been quite a change from my old win 7 PC.
I have had to resolve a number of issues, mainly with help from youtube, and now I have struck another problem where blogger won't upload photos. For this one I had to copy and paste, and I am not really happy with the process or the result, so I apologise if it is not a clear picture.
For the left side I used a piece from my scrap box, and just had enough to die-cut to fit. The stamp is a very old one, which I have removed from the block, and did not keep a record of the maker. If anyone knows, I would love to know too. The centre piece was stamped onto shrink plastic, shrunk, then layered with mounting tapeonto the stamped panel.

Hi everyone
First of all, welcome to my new follower, Carla Aerts, thank you
Today's card is the result of playing with some paints to make backgrounds. I first used 3 colours of Fresco paints, dotting them onto my card and then scraping across with an old credit card. I decided that I didn't like the colour combo, so mixed some perfect pearls into a little white paint and painted over the top, dabbing in some places to give a slight textured look
The circles from 'Round in Circles' (Rubberdance) were stamped with Brilliance graphite black, and the words from 'Affirmations' (Rubberdance) were stamped and embossed in detail white EP. I also coloured the large word lightly with a Sharpie paint pen
