Open your heart

Hi everyone
Today's card is based on the sketch from Sketch Saturday.
I trimmed some navy card slightly smaller than my white card base and added the two pieces of designer paper. I wound some sparkly gold thread three times around on the left and then attached a butterfly that I had stamped and fussy cut. I stamped the sentiment onto a circle of white, using Brilliance 'pearlescent sky blue' for both. Finished with three gold raised pearls for decoration
I would like to enter the following challenges

Mod Squad - must have wings (my butterfly)
Art Impressions - resolutions
Allsorts #606 - favourite colour (I love this shade of blue)
Sweet Stamping - new (my sentiment is new)
Lost Coast #113 - starting with 'B' (my butterfly)

I diecut the white piece on the top and the bottom. The crazy bird was stamped onto a scrap and coloured with Promarkers - C729 pastel blue, G829 pastel green, G827 soft green, G956 ocean teal and Y247 summer sun

I added dimensional magic to his eyes and beak.

The sentiment is from Unity, stamped in DOX cracked pistachio and embossed with 'dye boss'

Then layered onto a toning green card base

A change from Christmas

Welcome back

Only five more sleeps, I am sure all the littlies are starting to get excited

My card today has a background piece, where I coloured one side of the EF with a mauve ink pad, before running through my cuttlebug. It has highlighted the design nicely

I stamped my butterfly (Martha Stewart) onto a scrap of card that I had been experimenting with different sprays. I also cut some narrow strips to use as a background to the butterfly. The sentiment is die cut from a scrap of black card
