CAS lily

Hi everyone

Today's card was the result of having a little play with my distress oxides.
I masked off an area and applied the dox with a sponge, then sprayed with a little water. I then used my misti to over stamp with this lovely lily from Creative Expression "festive florals'  I stamped a little on the background with Brilliance 'lightning black' which has a lovely gold look in certain angles. The message is stamped in the same ink. I then coloured the lily with promarkers, and added gold 'smooch' to the stamens.

 Hi everyone.
The first day of October!!!  Where has this year disappeared to?

My card today features the colours for the challenge at Paperbabe. I have used a purple base card, and layered it with a paler mauve embossed with my swiss dots ef. I also embossed my birthday folder, and trimmed it down. The die from Memory Box is called 'stitched aster corner' I cut it twice, first in green (for the leaves) and then in pink for the flowers, which I trimmed off and layered. I added some pink gems to finish.

Autumn colours

Hi Everyone

This is a lovely set of ATC's that I made for a challenge. This month the topic was 'creator's choice'
I took an A4 size sheet of watercolour paper and sprayed it with dylusions.
I quickly sprinkled some rock salt on and left it to dry overnight.
Next day I cut to ATC size (3.5 inches x 2.5 inches) and used my Misti to stamp the birds from a set I bought in Montreal - Clear Oiseaux by Aladine, a French company. I also added words from another set, but I have lost the packaging.
The white highlights were done with my Sharpie paint pen

Challenges
Paperbabe - anything goes
Allsorts - Autumn colours
Scrap and Craft Inspiration - colours of Autumn

Take care and have a great week

spinning!

Hi everyone. Sorry I have been absent for a bit as we went on a short break in our motorhome. Unfortunately it was cold and wet, but spring is starting to warm up a little.

I cased this card from someone in Australia I think, and I have forgotten the tutorial link. However, mine is a bit different, as I cut the shapes from some black scraps on my Cameo and raided the garage for the washers to give a bit of weight. It spins on the centre mount, and was a great hit for my grandson's birthday.

Challenges
Southern Girls - something moveable

Take care and thank you for commenting, it is appreciated

Hybrid Inks

Hi everyone.
I am sneaking in at the last minute with my entry at Paper Artsy. The challenge this time is for Hybrid Inks.
I used a stencil on the left side of the card, then wiped up the leftover inks on the rest of the card.
I then stamped onto a small piece coloured with distress oxides, made at a play day at my friends house.
I added a small flower to finish

I would also like to enter this one at The Artistic Stamper for 'take a little colour'

Thanks for looking and happy crafting

Under the Sea!

Today's card was an experiment to see how rock salt affected a watercolour card sprayed with Dylusions. I loved the result, and as it looked a bit like underwater, I used my new stamp set from Kaisercraft called 'Coastal Escape' with Memento 'tuxedo black'. It didn't show up very well so I went over it with my white Sharpie paint pen(love this pen) I stamped the seahorse on a scrap, coloured with copics and clear embossed, then layered him with mounting foam

Challenges -
Rubberdance - embossing
Penny Black and More - all creatures

Red, white and blue!

This week's challenge at Allsorts, is to use the colours of your flag, which is of course red, white, and blue

I have used  older SU stamps for the words and the yacht, but first I made a background by swiping on some dox faded jeans, and di weathered wood. I restamped the yacht on white card and paper pieced the sails. The white highlights on the water were with a white sharpie, and I also added a wee bit of glitter on the water. Mounted onto white and then a red card base.

Hi everyone.

Today's card is one I made for my sister's birthday. I found the instructions online, but forgot to save the site, so I cannot give credit to the designer. Lavender & Lace

Hi everyone.

Today's card is for the challenge at Allsorts Challenge blog. I created a 'dox' background and multiple stamped with one of the first stamps that I ever bought. It is called Lavender Flowers, by an Australian company - Paper Pleasure Plus Pty Ltd - a company that is no longer active. I attached some narrow broderie anglaise lace olong the edge and added a bow to the stems.
I will also add it to the Stamping Sensations challenge which is 'anything with flowers'

Sail Away!

Hi everyone, I hope you are all well.
I am hunkered down in my craft room, trying to keep warm,  with the heater on and a blanket over my knees - we are experiencing very cold winds, and snow in many parts of the country.

Today's card was inspired by the subject of 'aqua' at Paper Artsy. I remembered that I had this piece of card that I had played around with some aqua paint, so I die cut 2 pieces and layered them to make my sea. I highlighted the edges with a white Sharpie. The yacht was diecut from some textured white card, and the sky was sponged with an un-named ink pad. I added some clouds with the same ink pad,  and the seagulls and message were stamped with Memento tuxedo black.
