Sketch

Welcome

Today's card uses three shades of distress ink, squeezed lemonade, dried marigold, and fired brick.
I masked off a strip and applied in an ombre style. The butterfly was cut on my Cameo Silhouette, and the rest of the embellishments are from my peel-off pile

With Sympathy

Welcome.

This is a card that we don't always like to make, but it is good to have some on hand for when needed.

I used a stencil and wilted violet distress oxide to make a faint background on the left side. Then I overstamped with a lavender stamp by Paper Pleasure Plus, an Australian company which I believe no longer exists. I coloured the stamp with markers in purple and green.I coloured the peel-off with a black marker and layered it onto a scrap of purple card which I die-cut and then trimmed one side to make a banner. The black rectangle around the image is drawn with an art pen.

Friends are Flowers

 Good evening all

Today's card was made using some designer paper that I trimmed a little smaller than my card base

I stamped the sentiment with Brilliance graphite black, and embossed with detail clear EP.

The leaf was stamped with Memento, and the two flowers are diecuts (unknown brand) I added some matching purple gems to the centres.

Season's Greetings

Welcome

Today's card is for next Christmas, so I am making a good start

I have used two different scraps of designer papers, and ran the background piece through my cuttlebug with a Craft Concepts folder called 'Happy Holly'

I cut the spotty piece into a banner and edged both pieces with R17 Copic

The image is a digi from Stamplorations, printed on a small piece of Fabiola paper, and I have used Promarkers - Pastel blue,Ocean Teal, buttercup, and herb green. Copics - lime green, lipstick orange

Life Happens

Welcome

Today's card  features one of my most used stamps - a crazy bird from Tim Holtz

I chose a piece from my backgrounds box that had some silver smudging on the edge. I sprayed it with 'glacier' Glimmer Mist to give it a pretty sheen, but of course it does not show in the scan.

I stamped my bird onto the card and also onto a piece of printed art paper, which I then fussy cut and adhered over the image

I then added the sentiment which I had printed and coloured with a blue marker. I also used it to ground the bird.

Life Happens is from a coffee sticker from Stamplorations which I cut in half

Birthday Fishes

Welcome
Today's card features a 'new to me' embossing and die set titled Making Waves, which was free with a magazine
It embossed the waves and cut the circle at the same time.
I coloured with peacock feathers and faded jeans distress inks to create the waves effect
The fish and shells are peeloffs which I adhered to some watercolour card that I had been playing with  The main orange colour is Dylusions.
I used some small black alphabet stickers by Kaisercraft to make the message, and adhered all onto an orange card base

Enjoy the Journey

Welcome

Today's card is using a new (to me) stamp set by Tim Holtz
I had a lot of trouble trying to get a good impression, after consulting Mr Google, I used Versamark first and then Brilliance graphite black., in my Misti, so I could repeat stamp.
In the finish, I emailed TH to see what I was doing wrong. He recommended using Rangers Archival, and of course, I don't have it in black, only dark plum. It stamped a lot better but has stained the stamps. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Back to my card! I used a piece of dp and stamped the words directly onto the paper. I stamped the car on a scrap of white card and coloured lightly with an Inktense pencil, which I the rubbed over with a wettish finger!

Mending

HAPPY NEW YEAR

to all my followers and visitors

Today's card uses a lovely stamp from Paper Artsy - HP1216.

I stamped on a white card using Brilliance 'graphite black' and clear embossed

The signs were coloured with copics, the bottom corner rounded, and mounted on a matching colour purple base card. To finish, I coloured a tiny spool with a black marker and wound it with some purple cotton.

It's your Birthday

 Welcome

I hope everyone has had a wonderful Christmas with lots of crafty gifts

Today's card uses a Happy Hoppers stamp HHCW01, it does not have a name.

I stamped directly onto my card base and again on a scrap of yellow card. After colouring the dots with an orange marker, I fussy cut the kite and the tail ties and glued them to the image. I don't know who the sentiment image is by, as I won it in a parcel of crafty goodies from Chris Dayton

I drew some sketchy lines around the edge to finish off

Trees in the snow

Welcome back.

Another CAS Christmas card. I raided my scrap box and diecut a wavy shape to represent snow. I then embossed with an un-named Sizzix EF, edged with a green Copic marker, and attached to my card front. The trees were cut from some scraps of Designer papers. I also cut 2 tiny snowflakes and coloured them olive green to match the trees. These wee snowflakes are a favourite to use on my Christmas cards, as they add just a little bit extra to the design. Pearls were added for a finishing touch

The sentiment is from a set by Colorado Craft Company called Christmas Tree Cat, which I stamped with Memento Olive Grove

Let your feet wander

Welcome

Today's card was an amazing experience for me. I followed a tutorial by Jolande van Oosterhout and her instructions were so good. Mixed media is something I would like to get into so this was a great start.

I used tissue paper, gesso, pencil (trees and moon) watercolour pencils and stamp set from Tim Holtz (birds) and the sentiment I think is from Unity
