Enjoy the Journey

Welcome

Today's card is using a new (to me) stamp set by Tim Holtz
I had a lot of trouble trying to get a good impression, after consulting Mr Google, I used Versamark first and then Brilliance graphite black., in my Misti, so I could repeat stamp.
In the finish, I emailed TH to see what I was doing wrong. He recommended using Rangers Archival, and of course, I don't have it in black, only dark plum. It stamped a lot better but has stained the stamps. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Back to my card! I used a piece of dp and stamped the words directly onto the paper. I stamped the car on a scrap of white card and coloured lightly with an Inktense pencil, which I the rubbed over with a wettish finger!

We all have our preferred inks and I'm no expert, for years I used Versafine Onyx but equally good are the newer Versafine Clair's which come in lots of colours, Nocture is a nice black and Acorn a good brown, another nice colour if you want a softer black is morning mist. Both do what it says on the tin so to speak stamp 'fine'.

I always use these for demos and class and rarely use Archival unless I'm stamping onto acetate or shrink plastic then I use Stayzon.

Anyhow, you achieve a nice image which give a lovely vintage feel to your card. SO pleased you shared with us at Allsorts, Stamping Sensations and We Love Stamping, thanks so much.
