"White"

It is so hard to capture a white image on a scanner to show the details, so I had to adjust this a little in PS
I have basically followed a sketch from Sketch Saturday and used white lace with ribbon insertion, sissex folder for the cupcake, Go Create die, 3 shell buttons, and the word 'giggle' is embossed with 'winter illusions'

Pretty in Pink (and black and white)

For this card I have used a pink base card, layered with white card embossed with a Sissex folder. The PB stamp 'constellations' was embossed with 'Winter Illusions' which gives a beautiful pink shimmer in certain lights. I then used  little dabs of pink pearl paint here and there on the flowers. Finished off with a fabric flower which has a pearl in the centre.

How distressing!!

I have had a lovely messy time at clas, learning how to use Tim Holtz distress inks. I made several backgrounds, but rather liked the colour combination of the one. The image is stamped in black, and I have layered it onto some pretty green vellum that I have had for a long time. I also used it to punch out 2 scallop circles to make the flower. I folded it just off centre and attached it to the corner, finished off with a shiny star.. I can enter the following challenges

I seem to have a 'thing' for orange at the moment. This one uses a piece of patterned card from my stash, which I stamped with acouple of the flowers from my Daekroom door set. Orange and Yellow

This is such a great sketch - I couldn't resist using it in these lovely bright colours. I have made it for the sketch challenge this week over at
http://ssdschallenge.blogspot.com/

A favourite card

I started from scratch with this one, by using some of my own handmade pale mauve tinted paper. I then stamped the images on to white card and coloured the lovely cherry blossoms with fabric paint - it has a pretty pearl-like sheen. Matted on to pale pink card and finished off with a peeloff butterfly stuck onto acetate and glittered. I am able to enter the following challenges - Make the card you would like yourself-

A new pendant

I have made this pendant for the challenge over at
http://thecraftbarnblog.blogspot.com/
I was so impressed with the ones shown.
I have actually used a red bamboo tile from a table runner that my lovely friend Colleen dismantled and gave several to her friends.
Because I do not have all of the items in the demo's I had to compromise using whatever equipment that was in my stash, so hope this still qualifies for the challenge.
I used a silver pen to paint it, and then went over it with Inca Gold (silver) Then, using Dimensional Magic I applied the torn out cat image, added some silver beads at the bottom, then using a dismantled earring, I threaded the jump rings onto wire and through the already drilled holes, and finished off with another bead at the top, and a jump ring so that it can be threaded on to a chain.

lace and pearls

I am really pleased at how this card turned out. I have managed to combine several challenges with it. I edged the blue papers with a darker blue ink pad, and also the nestie scalloped oval which I cut on my lovely cuttlebug (however did I manage without one!) The stamp is a Penny Black one called Constellations, and I have added a little sparkle with a Sakura pen. I made the hat pin by adding some pretty blue beads and pearls to a long pearl headed pin. Also added pearls to the bottom strip.

Birds on a Wire

To me, men's cards are a problem, but I was quite pleased with this one. The pale blue crackled paper is stamped with Penny Black's Bird on wire, then layered onto pale cream card which I edged with Martha's copper ink pad.The 'holy' piece is a cuttlebug die-cut, also rubbed with the copper pad, as is the wee tag. All layered on to kraft base card.

A scrap card

This card was made using leftover pieces from a card from a card I had previously made. I tore them into strips and then ran them through my cuttlebug to give some extra texture. The darker pieces I then swiped with a copper metallic stamp pad. I arranged them on the card with the lighter pieces vertical and the darker ones woven through. I then sprayed with glimmer mist (which doesn't really show up here) added a wee tag and a sentiment. I am entering it at
