All in Blue!

Playing in the playground again this week, and this is a great way to use up some of those snippets! It does not need much explanation - it is just cutting, tearing, layering, and a bit of doodling. Plus some rub-on lettering' I would like to enter this one in

CAS Fridays

I had a quick play this afternoon and ended up with this card. I swiped an aqua ink pad down the card a couple of times to make the background. Then stamped the flowers and the message with Shades dye ink in Orange, and coloured the stems with a green copic.
This is for the challenge at

Celebrations

Another card for Pixie's Playground, only small snippets used this week to make the 3 silver balloons! I have used my new stamp from Stampin' Up - Make a wish set, and stamped onto a piece of bright yellow card. I tied a silver ribbon around, and drew the strings with a silver Sakura pen. The balloons are punched and raised with mounting tape. Then layered it onto plain white card. Challenges:-

Tea Time!

For this card, I have used a number of Crafty Individuals stamps. I first coloured the background with distress inks, and also added the dots with bubble wrap stamping/ I coloured the bird and the cup decorations by hand with di's also. Finished off with layering onto a card which I had distressed the edges and added some vintage lace and some little embroidered flowers which I coloured to match.

Embossing

This cute stamp from Suzy's Zoo set called Slippery Slope has been stamped twice and the images from the second one cut out and  layered onto the first. The background is a cuttlebug embossing folder which I have trimmed, and highlighted with a gold Sakura pen. I have used copics and Promarkers to colour, and trimmed the card with a punched flower.

Sunshine colours!

This gorguss stamp is one that arrived today as part of my prize at Pixie's Playground. I couldn't wait to try it out, and this is the result.
I have embossed the background orange piece through my cuttlebug, and lightly touched the edges with a black ink pad. The image is stamped with Brilliance Graphite black end embossed with black detail EP. I have coloured her in using a mixture of copics and promarkers. The 3 flowers have atamens added (another part of Pixie's prize) and some glitter added to the edges.

Imagine!

Here is my attempt this week adapting the instructions from the Paper Artsy blog.
I made a rough background using texture paste, and sprinkled a little red EP in places and melted it.
I cut the heart from red card and stamped some circles on it from my JOFY set. I then melted some beeswax onto it - what fun - I have never done this before!! I stamped the word (from one of TH stamp sets) onto Crunchy Waxed Kraft paper, and embossed with white detail EP. I added the wee bird just for fun, and the piece of black chain, and attached it to black card. I am entering this at Paper Artsy

Scrap card

I was so pleased with the effect of this design on a previous card, that I decided to make it again using pieces from my scrap box. I could probably make a hundred of these and still have a box full of snippets!!

Christmas again

I should have scanned this card against something dark so that you can see it is a square card.
I was inspired by the challenge at Craftyhazelnuts Xmas, and chose to use red, white green, reindeer, and holly.
The reindeer is embossed with white detail EP, and I am please with how it turned out.
Thanks for looking

My first for this year!

Christmas card - that is!
I have used 2 images from my Tim Holtz set, stamped in Adirondack Expresso. It goes well with the pale cream card. I distressed the edges a little.
I have used a piece of very old lace, and threaded it with some recycled gold ribbon. The holly is a punch and I added 3 red beads to finish.
Sorry the scan is a little crooked!.

Nautical

The present challenge at Opus Gluei is a beach theme, so I thought this one would be appropriate.
I have used an embossing folder, and highlighted the raised areas with a metallic paste. I have also coloured the scallop shell with copics and metallic paste as well. I layered it onto black card, after tearing the bottom edge and added a couple of diecut shells.
