How distressing!!

I have had a lovely messy time at clas, learning how to use Tim Holtz distress inks. I made several backgrounds, but rather liked the colour combination of the one. The image is stamped in black, and I have layered it onto some pretty green vellum that I have had for a long time. I also used it to punch out 2 scallop circles to make the flower. I folded it just off centre and attached it to the corner, finished off with a shiny star.. I can enter the following challenges

birthday card

My eldest grandson is turning 20 soon, so I have been making this card for him. I have used a Penny Black sticker for the image, layered on black, and raised over the background layers of a scalloped edged strip, a cream embossed (in my c/b) strip and a black strip. Finished off with a black bow.

Concertina Flowers

I almost forgot about this card I had made for
the craft barn
They have had some lovely ladies demoing different flowers and I was quite taken with the concertina one. The flower is 2 layers, and is finished off with a matching button. The card itself has been embossed in my cuttlebug, and I printed the lovely vintage image onto photo paper and then matted onto blue paper.
I am also entering it at

as I have used a tie on the button

Amother one in orange

I seem to have a 'thing' for orange at the moment. This one uses a piece of patterned card from my stash, which I stamped with acouple of the flowers from my Daekroom door set. The butterfly is made from metal using a nestie die and the run through my c/b to emboss it, then swiped with the same colour as the flowers. I have used the lovely sketch from

Orange and Yellow

This is such a great sketch - I couldn't resist using it in these lovely bright colours. I have made it for the sketch challenge this week over at
http://ssdschallenge.blogspot.com/

A favourite card

I started from scratch with this one, by using some of my own handmade pale mauve tinted paper. I then stamped the images on to white card and coloured the lovely cherry blossoms with fabric paint - it has a pretty pearl-like sheen. Matted on to pale pink card and finished off with a peeloff butterfly stuck onto acetate and glittered. I am able to enter the following challenges - Make the card you would like yourself-

A new pendant

I have made this pendant for the challenge over at
http://thecraftbarnblog.blogspot.com/
I was so impressed with the ones shown.
I have actually used a red bamboo tile from a table runner that my lovely friend Colleen dismantled and gave several to her friends.
Because I do not have all of the items in the demo's I had to compromise using whatever equipment that was in my stash, so hope this still qualifies for the challenge.
I used a silver pen to paint it, and then went over it with Inca Gold (silver) Then, using Dimensional Magic I applied the torn out cat image, added some silver beads at the bottom, then using a dismantled earring, I threaded the jump rings onto wire and through the already drilled holes, and finished off with another bead at the top, and a jump ring so that it can be threaded on to a chain.

lace and pearls

I am really pleased at how this card turned out. I have managed to combine several challenges with it. I edged the blue papers with a darker blue ink pad, and also the nestie scalloped oval which I cut on my lovely cuttlebug (however did I manage without one!) The stamp is a Penny Black one called Constellations, and I have added a little sparkle with a Sakura pen. I made the hat pin by adding some pretty blue beads and pearls to a long pearl headed pin. Also added pearls to the bottom strip.
