Orange and Yellow

This is such a great sketch - I couldn't resist using it in these lovely bright colours. I have made it for the sketch challenge this week over at
http://ssdschallenge.blogspot.com/

A favourite card

I started from scratch with this one, by using some of my own handmade pale mauve tinted paper. I then stamped the images on to white card and coloured the lovely cherry blossoms with fabric paint - it has a pretty pearl-like sheen. Matted on to pale pink card and finished off with a peeloff butterfly stuck onto acetate and glittered. I am able to enter the following challenges - Make the card you would like yourself-

A new pendant

I have made this pendant for the challenge over at
http://thecraftbarnblog.blogspot.com/
I was so impressed with the ones shown.
I have actually used a red bamboo tile from a table runner that my lovely friend Colleen dismantled and gave several to her friends.
Because I do not have all of the items in the demo's I had to compromise using whatever equipment that was in my stash, so hope this still qualifies for the challenge.
I used a silver pen to paint it, and then went over it with Inca Gold (silver) Then, using Dimensional Magic I applied the torn out cat image, added some silver beads at the bottom, then using a dismantled earring, I threaded the jump rings onto wire and through the already drilled holes, and finished off with another bead at the top, and a jump ring so that it can be threaded on to a chain.

lace and pearls

I am really pleased at how this card turned out. I have managed to combine several challenges with it. I edged the blue papers with a darker blue ink pad, and also the nestie scalloped oval which I cut on my lovely cuttlebug (however did I manage without one!) The stamp is a Penny Black one called Constellations, and I have added a little sparkle with a Sakura pen. I made the hat pin by adding some pretty blue beads and pearls to a long pearl headed pin. Also added pearls to the bottom strip.

Easel card

I had a little time for myself today, so had a play with one of the templates from
Cardmaking Paradise (link on my sidebar)
Sara designs templates for all occasions and is well worth a visit.
I covered the apron shape in a striped paper and the stamp is from Darkroom Door. The watering can stamp is coloured with Sakura pens and the wee fabric flowers are from my stash.

Flowers!

I needed to make some birthday cards this month, and this is one of them. The background is stamped with a Penny Black stamp, and the large flower I have stamped on plain pink, and then on white, which I trimmed back and layered. I finished off with a stamped message. I can enter the challenges at

Birds on a Wire

To me, men's cards are a problem, but I was quite pleased with this one. The pale blue crackled paper is stamped with Penny Black's Bird on wire, then layered onto pale cream card which I edged with Martha's copper ink pad.The 'holy' piece is a cuttlebug die-cut, also rubbed with the copper pad, as is the wee tag. All layered on to kraft base card.
