Making a start for the New Year

I won this gorgeous Asian Artistry set, and couldn't wait to try it out.
I stamped the bird on to white card, and laid it on the mauve. I had this lovely piece of velvet ribbon which blended nicely, stamped the saying (from the same set) at  the bottom, and finished off with 3 'gems'
I am entering the following challenges which are asking for 'something new'

Best project for 2010

I think this was my best project for 2010 as it was way out of my comfort zone. However I did enjoy trying out different stamping-spraying-layering etc
This is my entry for the Stampman Challenge

Cuttlebug embossing

I just love this Christmas tree folder - I have used it with vellum and lightly coloured the raised surface. I attached it to my card with peel off photo corners, which I coloured to match and also added some small gems to decorate the tree

A little Christmas wreath

Th Craft Barn have a challenge going to make an embellishment from one of the samples on their blog.
I have chosen to make this lovely wreath as shown by Chris Dark. I have changed it a little as I didn't have quite the same equipment, but still pleased with the result. I am sure my wee granddaughter will want to make some as well, when she comes to stay next week
