you can do it!

Good morning everyone.
I had a little play this morning and made a tag. The background was 'smooched' with 3 shades of DI.
The little sketchy bird was stamped, both on the tag, and a snippet of pink card. I added some extra colouring with my Promarkers. The branch is by Memory Box, and I coloured it grey with a copic marker. The words are by Rubberdance.

Pink and Orange!

The first challenge for 2017 at Paper Artsy is for 'pink and orange' What a fun colour combo!
I made a A4 background sheet using Brusho's and cling wrap. When it was dry I chose a spot that I liked and trimmed it to fit my bright pink card. The stamps I used are by Rubberdance, and I stamped onto coloured card in the theme colours. The paint spills are just randomly cut from the card as well.
Have a great week and thanks for visiting

Play time!

Good morning everyone.
I have been having a play with my new infusions that I chose as my prize from Paper Artsy.
I used an A4 size glossy card and sprinkled various colours. I the used a gel type medium and brushed it through the colours to get a variagated background. I also used a stencil to add the green leaf effect. I stamped with Memento my new stamp (Paper Artsy HP1301EZ), and then, because it all seemed a little sticky, I clear embossed the whole piece. I stamped the butterfly again on a scrap, coloured with copics, and 3d'd it, adding a little brass piece for the body. I also added a little colour to the flowers, and attached the whole piece to a black card.
Challenges.

Even more 'new stuff'

Hi everyone, and thanks for visiting. I managed to fit in some time yesterday to make this card, using a new set of stamps by AladinE which I bought in Montreal last year.
I stamped with Memento on kraft, and coloured with pencils. The faux stitching is done with a Sharpie paint marker. It is simply attached to a black card base, and a silver sticker added.

more new 'stuff'

Hi every one, and welcome to my new follower, Maxine from Kiwime Creations a fellow crafter from 'downunder'

I won this lovely embossing folder from Di at Pixies Crafty workshop (thanks Di), so was keen to try it before I pack away my Christmas things. I rubbed Peacock Feathers DI on one side of the folder and ran it through my cuttlebug. I was pleased with the result as it highlighted the design beautifully. I added some diamantes and diecut words which I won at Holley's blog (thanks Holley)

Coffee and cream and new stuff!

Greetings all for the New Year. I wonder if this one will go as fast as 2016 did!

I recently had a win at Paper Artsy, and this is from the stamp set (Hot Picks HP1301EZ) I chose as part of my prize.
I have stamped onto pearlescent card with Adirondack 'Espresso' and as it would not dry I embossed it with clear EP I stamped the butterfly again on a scrap and raised it over the image. After roughening the edge, I ran a little walnut stain DI over, and adhered to my base card. I also added a scrap of lace on the side and used a cotton bud to add some Shades dye ink 'vanilla cream' to the flowers and butterfly.

Little red robin?

I have made this card using one of my older stamp sets. It is simply stamped with Memneto Tuxedo Black on to a snippet of white, layered onto black, layered onto an embossed piece of white card, and then all mounted onto a black card base. I added a little colour to the wee bird, perhaps he is not a robin after all!

Tis Christmas time

I won this lovely Woodware stamp a while ago from Di, at Pixies Crafty Workshop, and this is the first outing!
It is stamped onto a snippet of white card, and then again on some gold metallic scraps.
I paper pieced the numbers with the gold, coloured the holly and berries with copics, added some shine to the berries with 'Dimensional Magic' and filled in the dots with gold 'Smooches' Then layered it onto some pretty coral paper from my stash, then onto white card.

Glisten and Sparkle

Hi everyone!
I was so thrilled to be asked by Nikki at Indigo Blu to do a post for the challenge. My background was a 'mop up' of DI Peacock Feathers that I had been using for another project. I then stamped this delightful image and embossed with 'bright gold' EP. I added some sparkly sequins, gold 'glitter glue', and using ds tape around the edges, I sprinkled on some holographic glitter and then mounted the panel on to a matching turquoise card
It is quite difficult to pick up the sparkle in a photograph, but it is very sparkly IRL

Roses

When this set arrived, with some others that I bought on a Facebook group, I was a bit overwhelmed as it is much larger than I thought. However I used the folder to do the embossing, and stamped the flower into the centre. I stamped it again on a scrap and coloured with my Promarkers. I cut the flower and 3 leaves from this one and shaped and layered them, although the scan does not show the effect very well. I used 3 favourite colours, R766, R555, and C426, and the added a touch of Y524 to shade the leaves.

Merry and Bright

Hi everyone, I hope you are all getting the Festive Season feeling. Time is beginning to run short, and I still have more things to make.
Today's card uses a very pretty piece of watercolour card that I coloured with Brusho's. I trimmed it to size and rounded the corners. The sentiment is embossed with an EP called Christmas colours - basically green with specks of red and gold. I have added a diecut snowflake and some bling and stars.

Cracking up!!

Hi Everyone,
I have been having a lovely messy time decorating this set of little milk bottles.
I started by coating with gesso, then a pretty teal/blue paint, followed by crackling medium, and then an off white paint over the top, which crackled quite nicely. I also overstamped with a crackle stamp by Indigo Blu. I then decorated by winding some sparkly blue thread around the neck, diecut leaves and flourish and a pretty flower.

Challenges - A vintage journey - cracking up
Happy Little Stamper - a/g with dies
Pixies Crafty Workshop - I used snippets for the die cuts
