This circular card was made with scalloped circles by Nestabilities. I cut a smaller size to layer on the front.. The stamp ( a lovely prize from Blockheads) is stamped with an Emboss It Clear pad, and then clear EP and heated.
I then rubbed in Distress Inks, antique linen, dried marigold, and worn lipstick. This immediately makes the image pop. I then finished with a flourish stamp and some paper flowers.

Monochrome
This is my first post in nearly a month as we have been away. I saw the challenge at Papercraft weekend was for monochromatic and I was keen to try out a stamp from a set that I won from
Chocolate Baroque.
The card is a pretty blue metallic finish, and I have used Midnight Blue to stamp with. I lightly coloured the flowers with Promarkers, and finished off with some blue gems.
I would also like to enter the following challenge.

'tagging'
This is a tag card that I made for my daughter and SIL who celebrate their anniversary on the same day as we do.
It is partly embossed and then coloured with an ink pad.. The flower was hand cut after making some paper from Neil Walker's instructions. The centre of the flower is a broken piece of jewellery, but fnished it off nicely

Bright and Cheerful!
Today's card has a background that is embossed in my cuttlebug.
The image (a magazine freebie) was stamped on a scalloped circle, and coloured with markers and Sakura glaze pens. I sponged some colour around the edge and added 3 buttons and 3 snippets of ribbon

Experimenting
Today I have been playing around with colours, textures, and shapes.
I have used my nesties scalloped circles to cut the base card, then cut a smaller single layer in black.
The owl is embossed onto a piece of card, which has duct tape (from the shed) stuck on. I then experimented with colouring, using alcohol ink first and then some green Lumiere. I layered 2 pieces of copper tape (more diy stuff from the shed!) and then the owl raised on mounting tape.
I wonder what else I could find in the shed that I could use in crafting!!!
I am entering the Going Buggy challenge - use something not meant for crafting.

Another Cardmaking Paradise card
This is another of Sara's templates from Cardmaking Paradise. See the links to her site on my sidebar Cardmaking Paradise and Template Heaven.
I have coloured the card, using distress inks - dried marigold and a little antique linen. Stamped the flourish (unknown) with Adirondack expresso, and then added sequin trim for some sparkle.
The card will stand up, but I have chosen to scan it instead of taking a photo!
I am entering in the current challenge at Cardmaking Paradise
and also at
Craft Room Challenge for glitter and bling
